Call for Expressions of Interest

Role: IT Technician (contractor; as-needed basis)

Location: Fort Albany First Nation and other locations as may be agreed

About the Role:

Fort Albany First Nation is seeking expressions of interest from skilled candidates interested in providing services as an IT Technician to Fort Albany First Nation Administration on an as-needed basis. Among other things, this role would provide technology support, maintain computer systems, and ensure secure, reliable IT services for the community’s administration and departments.

This role is not a staff position. All work will be performed on an as-needed basis, as agreed between Fort Albany First Nation and the contractor(s).

Key Services:

●       Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems.

●       Provide on-site and remote technical support for staff.

●       Monitor system security and data protection measures.

●       Support the setup of new technology, phones, and internet systems.

●       Train staff on IT systems and digital safety.

●       Other services commonly performed by IT experts as agreed.

Qualifications:

●       Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

●       Minimum 2 years of IT support experience.

●       Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking.

●       Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

●       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new technologies.

There is currently no deadline for expressions of interest. Expressions of interest will be considered as they are received, and may be kept on file for future use.
