POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Employment & Training will lead and manage the Employment & Training programs, ensuring compliance of agreements as set out in the ISETS agreements. This role involves financial management, program administration, and staff supervision, all aimed at enhancing employment and training services to the 7 First Nation communities targeted in the agreements. The position is based in Moose Factory and reports to the Chief Executive Officer / Senior Director of Operations.
REQUIREMENTS
- A university degree or College Diploma in Business Administration
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in program administration/management with supervisory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of various employment and training programs and be able to demonstrate experience acquired in developing training and employment programs.
- Experience in financial management (budgeting and forecasting) and in human resources management.
- Proven negotiating skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability in planning and organizing work.
- Be able to demonstrate proven analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Mushkegowuk culture and community employment and training needs
- Cree language is considered an asset.
- Must be willing to travel to Mushkegowuk Communities and work various hours
- Be able to demonstrate motivation and initiative.
- Full Class G License.
- Must be able to work under minimum supervision.
